BMJOpen2016;6:e010691. doi:10.1136/bmjopen-2015-010691

There was a significant difference in epidural use between the study group and standard care. The study group participants receiving a variety of therapies (including acupressure, visualisatin and relaxation, breathing, massage, yoga techniques and facilitated partner support) reported a reduced rate of augmentation; caesarean section; length of second stage; any perineal trauma and resuscitation of the newborn.
